Safety Guidelines
Safety Guidelines
We offer training to help students and staff stay informed on risk awareness, emergency response, digital safety and peer support..
General Safety Principles
Our core safety principles are designed to prevent harm and promote awareness in everyday campus life:
- Be aware of your surroundings and report anything suspicious.
- Treat everyone with respect and kindness. Safety includes emotional wellbeing.
- Follow school and building-specific safety instructions and signs.
- Store valuables securely and never leave personal belongings unattended.
- Use walkways and travel in well-lit, populated areas whenever possible.
Whether on campus or commuting, these small habits can make a big difference.
Campus & Facility Safety
To ensure that our schools and universities remain physically safe environments, we encourage all community members to:
- Keep emergency exits and walkways clear at all times.
- Report broken lights, hazardous materials, or unsafe conditions.
- Follow procedures during maintenance or construction activity.
- Use ID badges or sign-ins where required.
Safety isn't just for emergencies, it starts with awareness and prevention.
Emergency Preparedness
Familiarity with emergency procedures is critical. Know what to do in the following situations:
🚨 Alert
Stay calm and follow staff instructions. Use the Student Safety App (launching soon) to receive live safety notifications.
🚑 First Aid
In case of minor injury, contact the nearest staff member or first aid responder. Know where first aid kits and health services are located.
🔥 Fire
Evacuate the building immediately when the alarm sounds. Do not use elevators. Assemble at the designated point.
🚪 Lockdown or Exit
In a lockdown, secure doors, silence devices, and remain out of sight. Follow official announcements for when it is safe to exit.
Respect & Inclusion
Student safety also means fostering a community where everyone feels protected and valued.
- Report bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
- Respect cultural, religious, and personal boundaries.
- Speak up for yourself and others in unsafe or uncomfortable situations.
- Know how to access support services.
We are committed to ensuring every student feels safe not only physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
